Well as Yvonne mentioned in her blog the harvest of grapes has begun, not all co-operatives or vignerons are in full swing yet, as with some rain (last week) and now total sunshine, this can accelerate the total crop value immensely. Next week we will be filming the process from harvest to delivery at the co-operative.
Well after a long month, with no rain, save around 4 spots some 3 weeks ago the main harvest of grapes is complete and the process to produce the wines has begun. With maceration of some wines only taking 24 hours (Vin D'Une Nuit), the resulting wines will be stored in stainless steel vats, protected from air until the first is bottled in November (Primeur)
